Us

Steppler Farms Ltd. is a third-generation family farm located near Deerwood in the hills West of Miami Manitoba Canada.

Steppler Farms encompasses a 3500-acre grain farm, a 600 head purebred Charolais cattle herd and a 1500 hive honey bee operation.

Their focus on the adoption of new farming technologies and management strategies, their progressive and innovative cattle breeding program, and their forays into queen bee rearing and progressive hive management sets Steppler Farms apart. In 2021, Steppler Farms will achieve Century Farm status.

Charolais

Genetics

Over the last 50 years, the Cattle enterprise has grown to become one of the largest registered purebred Charolais herds in Canada.

Andre and Katie show cattle throughout Western Canada and are active within cattle shows right across Canada. Steppler Farms holds an annual ‘Piece of the Program’ Female Sale in December and every March the largest Purebred Charolais Bull Sale in Manitoba.

The farms sells breeding stock across Canada and into the US as well as Steppler genetics around the world.

Honey

FARM

Steppler Farms has established a large 1500 hive Apiary. The apiary, centralized over their farm’s acreage, also encompasses 200 square miles of land around it.

Capitalizing on the area’s diverse landscape and crop rotations, the Honey Farm produces 275,000-300,000 lbs of Clover, Alfalfa, Canola and Sunflower honey annually.

Steppler Farms has been a Manitoba Co-op Honey Producer member for 20 years; the farm sells their honey under the BeeMaid Honey brand across Canada and around the world.
